you really cant just generalize 2 whole groups like that. there are so many different genre’s of each especially rock.
The biggest difference is in contact. Most rock is very thoughtful and carries some kind of meaning: whether it is political, romantic, social, etc. It means something.
Most rap, on the other hand, is about nothing more than money, women, alcohol, and shiny spinning rims.
